Universal (UCHS) Artery & Vein Centre is the only Department in whole NCR including Faridabad, Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida which is managed by qualified Cardiovascular Surgeon.

Vascular surgery is a specialty of surgery in which diseases of the vascular system (i.e. arteries, veins & lymphatic system) are managed by medical therapy, minimally-invasive catheter procedures, and surgical reconstruction.

The main types of arterial diseases are :

1. Occlusive arterial Disease :  Blockage of Blood vessel

2. Aneurysmal Arterial disease (ballooning of the arteries).

Our specialty is that both the disease can be treated without surgery and patient can be back to work in three to four day time. In cases in which Angioplasty is not possible surgery can be easily performed. Our chairman Dr Shailesh Jain has credit to save many limbs from amputation.

Peripheral vascular disease affects smokers and also patients who have undergone coronary stenting or bypass surgery.

A large proportion of people with decade-long diabetes develop vascular problems. In a country where more than four crore people are estimated to have diabetes, the number of people estimated to have vascular problems is large. A diabetic patient is at a greater risk of lower limb amputation than the general population, a lot of them can be prevented with the involvement of a vascular surgeon.

Venous Disease:

The prevalence of venous disease has been under estimated.

1. Varicose Vein ( Dilation of Vein)

2. Deep Vein Thrombosis

Our CTVS team is trained to treat both Varicose vein and Deep Vein Thrombosis without Surgery. Dr Shailesh Jain did numerous number of cases of Varicose vein by Laser and Radiofrequency Ablation. It is a day care surgery and patient can return to work from next day. Chance of recurrence is very low. Universal Vein centre is only centre where Varicose vein surgery is performed by super specialist CTVS Surgeon with very good result. Varicose veins (dilated and tortuous veins) are also a common problem, if untreated can lead to skin changes, itching and ulcers.

A clot in the deep veins if it travels to the lungs can cause sudden death. Individuals are predisposed to forming clots if blood lacks few proteins which can keep it fluid. It can also be caused if the patient is immobilized or if the lining of the vessels are damaged. Unilateral painful calf swelling must be taken seriously. In acute Deep vein thrombosis we are treating without surgery with very good result.

Treatment for lymphatic disease (swelling of the legs) is mainly conservative.
