Basic Life Support (BLS) |
Course Description
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It's intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital. |
Intended Audience
This program is meant for Healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel. |

| Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) |
Course Description
The ACLS Provider three day workshops provide medical personnel the advanced resuscitation techniques in cardiac arrest. Providers are expected to learn the following |

Use of drugs like Adrenaline |

Use of defibrillators and trans-cutaneous pacing and Cardio version |

Identification of cardiac rhythms and their management and Skill stations |

Scenario based teaching |
| 6. |
Four types of prearrest emergencies (bradycardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndromes) Skill stations. |

Intended Audience
This module is aimed at Personnel staffing emergency, Intensive Care or Critical Care Departments; emergency Medical Providers such as physicians, nurses, emergency technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists and other professionals who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency. |
